Words from our staff

Stacey

"I am the teacher of the 2 1/2-3's. I have been working with children for 14 years. Children are a passion of mine and I enjoy being able to work with them everyday. Coming to work for me, is not a job, rather a pleasure. Each and every child brightens my day in his own little way. The look on a child's face when they learn something new is priceless! When I'm not at work, I enjoy reading, shopping and spending time with my family. I've been with PHLC for 6 years here and have worked at their other location in the past for 3 years. I consider PHLC to be a 2nd home to me."

Tricia

"I have worked in child care for 24 years and have been with PHLC for 10 years. I have many different responsibilities here at the center. I work with all of the children at some point in the week, infant through school age. I enjoy doing art projects and letting the children explore their inner artist!"

Dia

"I work here with the toddlers. I have 2 children of my own, 5 and 11. I have been working in child care for 17 years and here at PHLC for 7 years. I attended BCCC for certification in Early Childhood Education. My interest in children is giving them the love and care they need. I always say 'Patience is the key to success'. I am a very friendly and verbal person"

Aimee

"I am the school age teacher. I have worked in child care for 19 years and have my BS in Early Childhood Education. I have been with PHLC for 11 years. I especially enjoy doing arts and crafts with the children and decorating our classroom. We often have themes for our learning that we enjoy creating sceneries for in our room to keep it bright and interesting."

Crystal

"I am the 4 and 5 year old teacher. I have been in child care for 19 years and at PHLC for 9 years. Perry Hall Learning Center stands out because it is nurturing and has a home-like feel to it. When most of the child care field seems to be focused on packing children in for profit, I'm proud to be a part of a more family oriented Center. At PHLC, we realize that all day, every day, should be about our children. On every level from infant to elementary, we focus on our children's needs."

Carol

"I am Miss Carol to the children. Between babysitting, nannying, raising my own children and working here at PHLC, I've been teaching and taking care of children for 38 years. I've been here at the Center for 13 years and have taken care of the infants, toddlers and 2 year olds. I'm a teacher at heart. It's who I am and there's nothing else I'd rather do"

Tina

"Hi! You can find me on the other side of the Sugar Plum door that's decorated with tiny hands and feet. Being the infant room teacher is one of the major joys in my life. I have a 11 year history at PHLC and have worked with young children in my church for 21 years. I have raised two children of my own and have 8 grand children! I have an Early Childhood certificate and have taken many continued ed classes. In our infant room we focus on hugs and affection, motor skills, speech (including some sign language), reading books, flash cards, music and art. I produce a monthly newsletter for parents, which updates the class and individual progress. Being a part of and watching these precious ones mature is a great joy!"

Having a small center, all members of our staff are familiar with each child, and their specific needs.
